Hello Everyone,
It’s been just over a month since being permitted to practice massage again and I want to share some updates.
First off, thank you to my returning clients! I truly appreciate your trust in my serving your health needs.
I am still committed to providing treatment for all clients, still on a part-time basis and always following the new protocols set out by the Ministry of Health, Ontario Health COVID-19 Guidelines, and the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (my previous explanation is included at the bottom of this message).
Every week, there are appointments available on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 11am and 6pm. You are welcome to email or call to book a spot for either Swedish Massage Therapy or Maya Abdominal Therapy treatment.
The response from returning clients has been really positive: they’ve expressed that they are happy to be back and are comfortable with the new measures. For instance, I’ve been told that wearing masks during treatment does not have a negative effect on the benefits provided - mostly general relaxation and relief of physical muscle tightness.
Further, the thorough cleaning regimes have enabled us to work together in a safe environment, including disinfectant products without any artificial scents or perfumes.
Some new services:
I’m looking forward to seeing you again soon!
Take care and be well,
Diana, RMT

Some new services:
- A new HEPA filter (which stands for "high efficiency particulate air") with a UV light that purifies the air in the treatment room.
- New clients may choose to have their initial one hour consultation remotely - either over the phone or online through Skype.
- I will email invoices for treatment and you may pay by e-transfer.
I’m looking forward to seeing you again soon!
Take care and be well,
Diana, RMT

Hello Clients and Friends,
I am pleased to announce that the Ontario Ministry of Health has given Registered Massage Therapists the go-ahead to get back to work - slowly but surely.
Beginning Thursday, July 2nd, 2020, I will be offering appointment times for both Swedish Massage Therapy and Maya Abdominal Therapy treatments on a part-time basis. From then, I will be available for bookings every Wednesday,Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Please note: The province has asked us to prioritize clients who are in greater need and have been experiencing increasing pain and dysfunction due to the lock-down restrictions over the past several months. Please let me know if you believe this applies to you.
In re-opening, Registered Massage Therapists are being required to put some new protocols in place. Here's an overview:
The inclusion of all these measures means that I will be able to accept less clients per day, so booking spaces are more limited - this is what I mean by my practice returning on a part-time basis.
If you have questions or concerns about any of this, please contact me and I will be happy to discuss further.
Your health and safety are my first priority and I am committed to providing a service and a space that you, your friends and family can rely on to continue to support your health and well-being!
Warmly,
- I will need to begin by asking you a series of screening questions (regarding travel, contact with others, etc.), either through email or over the phone prior to booking an appointment, for both current and new clients alike.
- Please come no more than 10 minutes before their scheduled appointment to minimize contact with others.
- Between each client booked there will be approximately 45 minutes for me to complete the very detailed cleaning requirements of both the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario along with the Ontario Public Health Guidelines.
- When you arrive, you will be asked to sign a log-in sheet to be used for contact tracing, if needed. This information collected will not be shared in any other way. If there are any concerns about this, please feel free to contact me to further discuss.
- Each of you will also need to fill out a set of consent forms before the appointment which will be given to you at the front desk when you arrive. I will review these before treatment and I will repeat the series of screening questions that were asked before.
- Between the time you booked the appointment and the day of the appointment, if you suspect that you may be infected or have come in contact with anyone who is suspected or has been tested positive for COVID-19, please do not visit the office for your appointment. Contact me immediately to reschedule your appointment, even if it is the same day. Because of the extenuating circumstances, I will not be charging last minute cancellation fees if your health status has changed up and until your scheduled appointment.
- During treatment, I will be wearing a surgical grade mask (3-ply) and a clear face shield during the entire treatment along with an apron over a set of practitioner scrubs.
- Each client will be required to wear a mask during the treatment. If you don't already have one, I will provide a mask for you upon your arrival. Anyone not wanting to wear a mask will not be treated at this time. If you have some type of breathing issue or difficulties, this must be discussed with me ahead of time and not upon arrival the day of the treatment.
- As an RMT Practitioner, I have the right to refuse to treat anyone if the risks outweigh the benefits at any time.
Warmly,
Diana, RMT
